Trafik Timoun Part One

In this video, Haitian children that were trafficked to Dominican Republic are telling their stories. The half hour documentary uploaded to Youtube in two (2) parts was produced in 2008 and forms part of Panos Caribbean’s advocacy work in the region to highlight issues affecting children with an aim to have their rights protected.

“The video is one of the key tools that Panos Caribbean use to raise awareness among policy makers via the media.

The testimonies were collected by the children & young people themselves after receiving training from Panos Caribbean.

Human trafficking has always been contentious between Haiti and the DR and is affecting particularly children, depriving them of their liberty and their childhood.
